A Prayer for Young Persons
God our Father, you see your children growing up in an
unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways
give more life than the ways of the world, and that following
you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to
take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Book of Common Prayer, p. 829
Christian Education for all ages is a priority at Christ Church! We currently offer a class for younger children (preschool through about 4th grade) exploring Bible stories and fundamentals of the Christian faith (like the Ten Commandments and the Lord's Prayer) through discussion and crafts.
Older elementary school and middle school students engage in Bible study lessons that tie in with the readings they will hear in church each Sunday. Using thoughtful discussion, artistic expression, and multimedia resources to go deeper into scripture and discover where it connects with their lives.
We encourage students in high school to join in the adult Christian Education classes.
All classes meet in the Parish House behind Christ Church, from 9:00 to 10:00 on Sunday mornings.
