Langdon Greenhalgh has significant project management and humanitarian consulting experience with a diverse group of governmental, international and non-governmental clients on humanitarian projects related to humanitarian operational design and implementation, evaluations/reviews, strategic planning, disaster risk management systems development, national policy development, and training design/delivery. He is a professional international emergency response manager who has recently served as team leader for the Red Cross and other organizations in a wide range of emergency response operations in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe |
About Langdon GreenalghIn addition to his work as a humanitarian consultant, Langdon served within the International Disaster Response Unit of the American Red Cross and was responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-impact emergency services globally. He first joined the Red Cross in 1999 and prior to joining the American Red Cross, Langdon was Executive Director of Horizon Institute for Policy Solutions, a Virginia based think-tank. Langdon completed his undergraduate work in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and received his Masters Degree from Harvard's Kennedy School.
The Global Emergency Group, which opened for business on Jan. 2, 2008, in Bluemont, Va., offers services in readiness, relief, early recovery, and logistics to help agencies, organizations, governments, and corporations provide humanitarian assistance.
