Directions to Christ Church, Millwood

Not all GPS and mapping services recognize our physical address so, to make it easier to find Christ Church, we are providing directions on our website.  If you need further assistance locating our church, please contact the church office at 540-837-1112. 

Traveling from Winchester, Front Royal or Stephens City:   From the intersection of  US-50/US-17 and US-340, travel east on US-50E/US-17S approximately 2.8 .  Go 0.6 miles and turn left onto Millwood Road.  Then go  approximately one-quarter mile through the village of Millwood and turn right on VA-255 Bishop Meade Road, in between Locke Store and the Post Office.  You will go up a hill and the church will be ahead on your left, across from Project Hope. 

From Berryville:  Travel south on US-340S approximately 3.5 miles from Berryville.  Turn left onto US-255 Bishop Meade Road.  Historic Old Chapel, a stone structure, is situated at the intersection of US-340S and VA-255.  Bishop Meade Road bears slightly to the right shortly after you turn off US-340, just past Old Chapel, which you will see on your right.  Continue on Bishop Meade Road approximately 3 miles until you see Christ Church on the right. 

From Middleburg and Upperville:  Proceed on US- Rt. 50 West which will intersect with US-17 North at a traffic light. Stay straight on US-50W/US-17. You'll go over the Blue Ridge Mountains and then crossing the Shenandoah River. From the Shenandoah River Bridge, it is 1-1/2 miles to the Mountain View Motel/Shenandoah Mart on the right side of the road. Stay in the right lane and proceed another 1/2 mile and turn right at the top of the hill onto VA-255 (Bishop Meade Road).  There should be a sign for Millwood.  Go 0.6 miles and turn left onto Millwood Road. Go  approximately one-quarter mile through the village of Millwood before turning right, between the Locke Store and the Post Office, and continuing on VA-255 Bishop Meade Road. You will go up a hill and the Christ Church will be ahead on your left, directly across from Project Hope.

If you are traveling from Richmond or Fredericksburg:  Take 95 North past the first several Fredericksburg exits. Take Exit #133/ US-17 towards Warrenton.  Go about 35 miles and Rt.17 will bear right at a T-intersection when it merges with US-15 for a few miles.  Stay on 17N another 3 miles or so and take an exit which says Winchester/Warrenton/Luray. Follow signs towards Winchester.  Go about 10 miles and turn LEFT onto I-66 West.  Go 5 miles and take exit#23 onto US-17 (Delaplane/Paris Exit).  Stay on 17 until it comes to a T (maybe 10 miles) and turn left (Rt.17/Rt. 50).   You'll go up a mountain and then back down, crossing the Shenandoah River. From the Shenandoah River Bridge, it is1-1/2 miles to the Mountain View Motel/Shenandoah Mart on the right side of the road. Go another 1/2 mile in the right lane and turn right at top of the hill onto VA-255 (there should be a sign for Millwood).  Go .6 miles and turn left  onto Millwood Road. Go approximately one-quarter mile through the village of Millwood and turn right on VA-255 Bishop Meade Rd. in between Locke Store and the Post Office. Once you reach the top of the hill, Christ Church will be on your left, directly across from Project Hope.
